The Tweak Aims to Keep Your Hands Free From Nasty Sink Slime

Washing dishes means having nasty food residue fall into the bottom of your sink. A sink strainer can help prevent the food slime and chunks from going down your drain, but you don't want to wear rubber gloves every time you remove the strainer or get nasty gunk on your hands either.

The Tweak puts an end to messy hands and clogged drains by serving as a sink strainer with a simple handle that squishes all the sludge to the middle of the silicone device -leaving your hands delightfully clean. The piece even flips out to make sure you can get all the nasty gunk is released without you having to scrape it or tap it out on your trash can edge. The design comes in two sizes so you can keep your bathroom and kitchen sinks clean and it is available in an array of colors as well.

Tel Aviv-based creators Nitzan Shafat and Aviv Rozenfeld received a brief asking them to design something to help deal with kitchen college while the two members of the team were both students at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. After designing a few concepts, the two agreed on the Tweak design and the peice is now available for $8 on Kickstarter until June 30, where it has already received four times its fundraising goal.
